Green Brick Partners Inc. (Nasdaq: GRBK) has waded into the highly competitive entry-level home market, putting the Plano-based homebuilder head to head with the D.R. Hortons, Pultes and Lennars of the world.
Based on what he’s seen so far, Jim Brickman, co-founder and CEO of Green Brick, likes his company’s chances of competing with the housing industry giants, he said in an interview with the Dallas Business Journal on Tuesday.
The first model home in Green Brick’s entry-level “Trophy Series” debuted at the Ventana community in Fort Worth last month. Green Brick’s Trophy Signature Homes subsidiary will construct about 300 homes in Ventana with an average sales price of about $250,000.
